Karan Johar’s 2019 party video authentic, no tampering done, NCB receives forensic report

Karan Johar’s 2019 party video: The narcotics control bureau has received the forensic report on the viral video of Karan Johar’s house party and has submitted it to the Director-General Rakesh Asthana as evidence by Akali Dal leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa.

Sources say that the video has been found undoctored. The video was of a party hosted by Karan Johar where many Bollywood celebrities were seen.

The narcotics control bureau will conduct a meeting soon to discuss further course of action.

In his statement, Karan Johar has already clarified claiming it to be a malicious campaign against him and his family. “I have already clarified my position way back in 2019 that the allegations were false,” he said, while also adding that media reports are misleading by reporting that narcotics were consumed at the party.

“All these slanderous and malicious statements, news articles, news clipping unnecessarily subjected me, my family, my colleagues, and Dharma Production to hatred, contempt, and ridicule,” said Karan Johar’s statement

The Narcotic Control Bureau had earlier questioned and arrested Kshitij Ravi Prasad. Johar, clarifying Dharma Production’s distanced stance from the issue and Prasad, in his statement, said,  “Mr. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharma entertainment in November 2019 as one of the executive producers on contract basis for a project which eventually did not materialize.”

After Times Now news break regarding the video being found and undoctored, Manjinder Singh Sirsa came out with the video statement stating his stand has been vindicated. He further said that very soon Karan Johar will have to face legal consequences for hosting a drug party at his house and will be having legal consequences.

The forensic report has confirmed that the video is authentic, unedited and no tampering was done with it. Now, the NCB will decide the next course of action and the top officials are likely to hold a meeting with agency chief Rakesh Asthana.

The report comes just a day after the NCB confirmed that it is not probing the alleged ‘drug party’ video, adding that their focus is on the drug-related investigation surrounding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.

The video was posted on July 28, 2019, by Karan Johar. It showed several Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shahid Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Varun Dhawan at his home.
