Delhi Metro App: Now you can ‘Talk to Delhi Metro’ to get route information on your smartphone
Delhi Metro App: If you are travelling to a new destination on the Delhi Metro then it is now easy to get information on your mobile. Google Assistant is now providing a dedicated bot for Delhi Metro. Users can either talk or type on Google Assistant to get information.
The feature is available for both Android and iphone users (iOS). Google Assistant is in-built in all Android phones but iPhones users will have to download the Google Assistant app.
With the integration with Google Assistant, it will now be easier for commuters to get exact route information quickly without going through the Delhi Metro network map. Delhi Metro has already partnered with Google Maps back in 2017 to provide commuters with information about different lines, routes, travel time, fares and even the platform number on which your train would arrive.
Delhi Metro App: How to use this function
- To use this functionality, users will have to either say or type “Talk to Delhi Metro” to activate the bot.
- It will then reply ““Welcome to Delhi Metro. Where would you like to go?”
- To this, users will have to respond with the destination station and after that the bot will ask for the source station.
- Once you provide this information to the bot, it will show the exact route in the Delhi Metro network along with the estimated travel time.
The best part is that the new feature will also tell users from which station you would need to change the metro trains.
Meanwhile, Delhi Metro has also enabled commuters to recharge their smart cards via PhonePe last year. With PhonePe app support, Delhi Metro offers UPI support smart card recharges. Users can directly pay from their bank accounts using UPI. Commuters can also use PhonePe to recharge their smart cards from the DMRC website by using the UPI link.
